the event
On January 10th, Fight the Fear Campaign will host a celebration at the Century Ballroom in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. This is an invitation-only* event. It starts with a 2-hour violence prevention and self defense workshop for 100 participants from the LGBTQ community.

After the workshop, there will be a 2-hour celebration to kick off the Fight the Fear Campaign. Brandi Carlile, and other project leaders, will speak about the mission and goals of the project. Brandi may also sing a song or two…if we’re lucky! The Indigo Girls are also supporting this project, and Amy Ray will be at the event. And, yes, we may in fact get a song from her, too!

The Century Ballroom has graciously donated its Ballroom space for the event; catering will be provided by The Tin Table.

* This is an invitation-only event. As a fundraising effort, there are a small number of tickets available on eBay. Bid on the doubly-good opportunity to see Brandi Carlile and Amy Ray, and contribute to a great cause! (We are also hosting four workshops that will be open to all women. Please see the news section of the site for details.)
